Founding Partner
Gonzalo de la Guardia is a founding partner of DENFAB. He has been practicing law since 2002 and has worked as a lawyer advising clients on operations related to administrative law, tax law, commercial law and real estate. Mr. de la Guardia obtained his degree in Law and Political Science at the Santa María La Antigua University in 2002 and later completed a degree in Banking and Finance at ULACIT in 2006. Additionally, he has a Master's Degree in Taxation from UNESCPA (2009). He is a member of the National Bar Association of Panama and the Urban Citizen Network. Carlos Neuman

Carlos Neuman is a founding partner of the firm. He has been an attorney since 2002 and has worked advising clients on transactions related to corporate law, commercial law, real estate law and estate planning. Mr. Neuman obtained his bachelor's degree in Law and Political Science at the Universidad Santa María La Antigua in 2002 and later completed his master's degree (LL.M.) in 2003 with an emphasis on Corporate and Maritime Law, at the University of London (University College London) in London, England. He is a member of the National Bar Association of Panama. He is licensed to practice law in the Republic of Panama and has a license as an authorized public translator granted by the Ministry of Education of Panama. Ricardo Faraudo Fernandez, is a founding partner of DENFAB since 2005. He has been practicing law since 2002, and has worked advising clients on operations related to corporate law, commercial law, real estate law, immigration law and estate planning. Juan Ignacio Villanueva is a partner at the law firm De la Guardia, Neuman, Faraudo y Bermudez (DENFAB). He has been practicing law in Panama since 2007 and specializes in advising clients on matters related to corporate law, commercial law, real estate law, and labor law. Before joining the firm, Mr. Villanueva gained experience at renowned local firms where he worked in the corporate and commercial law departments. Likewise, he has served as a director at companies operating in Panama, which has enabled him to provide advice to his clients with a business- oriented approach. Mr. Villanueva obtained his bachelor's degree in Law and Political Science with Cum Laude honors at the Universidad Santa María La Antigua in 2005 and later completed his Master of Laws (LL.M.) with an emphasis in Corporate and Commercial Law in 2007 at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in London, England. Additionally, he has a postgraduate degree in Entrepreneurial Excellence from the University of Arkansas (2013), a Diploma in Labor Law from the Universidad Latina de Panamá (2016), and a Specialization in Labor Law from the Universidad Santa María La Antigua (2019–2020). She began her professional career in the Judicial Branch, dedicating herself to public service for 16 years, where she held various positions, such as executing bailiff, judge in the Municipal and Civil Circuit Courts, special substitute magistrate in the First Superior Court of the First Judicial District of Panama and assistant to Magistrates of the Court of Maritime Appeals. Additionally, he has a Master's Degree in Tax Law from the Institute of Legal Study and Research of Nicaragua carried out in collaboration with the Administrative Tax Court of Panama completed in 2021. She is a member of the National Bar Association and the Panamanian Academy of Administrative Law, currently holding the position of Treasurer. Majella del C. Rivera has been a member of DENFAB since 2011. She has worked in different areas of law such as corporate law, real estate law and horizontal property. Ms. Rivera completed her studies at the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences of the University of Panama. In addition, he has two Diplomas. The first is related to the Public Registry of Panama, and the second on Computer Crimes and Forensic Computer Science, both awarded by the Universidad Latina de Panama (2014).
